Poor regatta
If you're going to host a regatta, then it's your responsibility to get the details correct. This means:
- Having bathrooms available and open.
- Having race officials.
- Handing out an official regatta schedule, not several racing schedules with conflicting information.
- Having multiple launches.
- A finish line manned by officials.
- A beach/dock master.
- Official timers, not made up times.
The list goes on. The regatta we raced at today was missing all of those key items making today nothing more than a handful of programs showing up for a glorified scrimmage. We would have been better off staying home and squeezing out two more long practices.
Back to work.
