Price

I'm feeling a bit philosophical tonight.  I just finished a practice where someone rowed themselves off the team.  They will be cut very shortly, and most likely they will know why.  Most people who get cut know exactly why they're cut.  They may cry and complain about it, but the bottom line is, if they are honest with themselves, truly honest, they know.  It's a show of false bravado, but they know.

Which reminded me of one of my favorite sayings, and one that I use constantly.

"The price is never negotiable, only the goal."

If you want "X," then you must put in "Y."  If you can't, won't, whatever your excuse, then you cannot attain "X."  Plain and simple.
