First trip

Packing up for the US Rowing Convention in Oklahoma City.  The weather looks like it'll cooperate which will be nice since some of the convention will be on the water, and because Monday I get to go out and observer a practice with Bryan Volpenhein. 

Despite the early flight time - 6 am meaning 4 am to the airport - I'm pretty excited about going.  I have a feeling that this might be a "deer in the headlights" deal like my first ever coaching conference, but we'll see.  I am looking forward to listening to some of the big name coaches, as well as getting my Level III coaching certification.  But most of all, I think I'm just looking forward to getting out of town for a bit.  I've stayed away from coaching stuff in general, but I've definitely been feeling the need lately.
