A new chapter?
Don't let the title of the post mislead you, I am not moving on from coaching. I'm not turning in the megaphone, hanging up the keys, closing the boathouse...I'm out of things here.
But a friend of mine is.
Today marked her final day as a coach as she turns her attention to something much more important than coaching: Her family.
And she was able to go out the way all coaches hope to, with her crew winning a championship.
We spoke briefly today because I didn't want to distract from her moment with her athletes, and her moments with the team. She's both happy, and sad to be moving on, mostly happy, and it was solid to have her sent off with a gold medal in tow.
Congrats Coach Miller. It won't be the same without you.
